Award Winning Historic Kitchen Remodel
_
This remodel is a unique Spanish Colonial Revival style home in the historic Willo Neighborhood in downtown Phoenix Arizona. It was remodeled by our associate business Homework Remodels, and won the local 2012 Contractor of the Year award. Like many older homes it has had numerous remodels over the years. You will see that some of the past remodeling on this home didn’t do it’s historic heritage justice. Our homeowners wanted their kitchen to reflect the unique Spanish hacienda style of the rest of their home. |

The kitchen had been enlarged in the past and outfitted with high quality cabinets. Our homeowners were basically happy with the kitchen layout and with most of the cabinetry. Their biggest complaint was that the kitchen lacked the historic style of the rest of their home. Second to that, they wanted the existing peninsula to be redesigned to create a comfortable table height seating area for food preparation, still include storage, and have the look of a furniture piece rather than a cabinet. |
_Our goal was to renovate as much of the original
cabinetry as possible, add selected custom cabinetry to add historic
style, and bring in various authentic materials and color choices that
might have been used in an upscale Spanish Colonial home in the Willo
Neighborhood.
